Hi there,
I\'ve been getting some problems when putting power down in my FD3S
when I\'m in full boost in the damp weather and the rear brakes traction the gear stick jumps all over the place.
I\'ve been told this isn\'t very good and can damage the diff and possibly g/box so I wanted to get it sorted asap.
Is this just down to the fact the car needs braces on the g/box and diff or is it something else ???
Cheers
Matt
Get under the car and look for cracks in the power plant frame that joins the gearbox to diff, if this is cracked it will also cause the gear stick to bounce around.
^^+1! Sounds exactly like what mine\'s doing due to a most definitely broken Powerplant Frame. Most annoying, and not too good for all the other components that are getting a pounding as a result.
 "Full boost in the damp weather"!? Nutter! :Giggle
whats the situation if it is a broken power plant ?? How do I get it fixed ??

As for that ^^^ its got to be done...whats the point in having 481hp if you can\'t use it to make you happy and slightly twisted lol
Hahaha. Good man!
Not sure if you can "fix" them as such. I think it\'s a common problem, stress fractures in them due to the crap steel and contstant twisting forces being put through em. I guess you could weld it, but it\'d probably crack either side of the weld instead? I\'ve bought a good second hand one, just waiting to swap em over, seems the best way tbh
cool i will get hunting then as I\'m going drifting at bruntinthorpe (sp) over the weekend....I\'m not missing that :p
i will have one for sale soon email me if you need it matt.wiltshire @ peugeotmail.co.uk
Thanks again to everyone for all there help and especially to matt724 for making the effort to get the power plant to me :D
