Title: Underside of sills - plastic grommets?
Post by: Swanny_UK on November 02, 2008, 09:29:48 PM
The underside of the sills, there are a row of plastic grommets plugging a row of holes.  I can\'t see these mentioned in the workshop manuals.  I had a cautious look at removing one but they seem pretty stiff, and I didnt really want to risk breaking one.  I presume they\'re for something like fitting OE skirts perhaps?

Do these easily come out? ...anybody removed these and know how a whole they\'re plugging?

Thanks in advance

i know a stock yaris has these and if you buy the t-sport skirts you can buy grommets that replace the stock ones with ones that have screw holes in them! so like you have said they are probs for them rubber skirts you can get!

If I remember rightly, the skirts that Atomic Rex sells are designed to go into these holes perfectly, was very handy for my fitter to get the job done.

Wouldn\'t surprise me as said above if they were meant to house the fixings for optional skirts.
