Title: Oil cooler lines, Idea
Post by: leon on October 28, 2008, 09:38:33 AM
I\'ve been thinking while im taking the engine out would it be benefitial at all to heat wrap the oil cooler lines? Im thinking along the lines of heatsoak, but at the same time i can also imagine them radiating a small proportion of their heat durin transit to the coolers.

Has anybody done this before? :wiggle

I wouldn\'t say that you\'d benefit in them being wrapped.

Would they really overcool if the thermostats are working properly?

Perhaps whilst its out you could simply uprate them with braided lines or something, if they are stock they will be old, braided lines would mean they are less prone to failure, they look good and are silver lol :D
