Title: Rattles!
Post by: TiMtImInYtImTiM on October 27, 2008, 02:13:52 PM
Hi all,

I have just completed my first week of owning my FD and WOW. Absolutely chuffed to bits with it! :driving:god

Now its a 1997\' car so i am expecting there to be a few buzzes and rattles here and there. BUT i have this rattle coming from the rear tailgate or boot area which is driving me nuts!

Anyone know of a common cause of this rattle.

Many thanks.

could be the boot lid if it happens all the time or the rear bushes if it\'s only when you go over bumps etc.

Seems to be the boot lid sort of area, difficult to norrow the noise down when at the wheel though. Where is the best place to \'tighten up\' or replace parts?

Definatly get the bushes checked mate, mine have gone and its making all kinds of sqeakes and knocks so it could be that. Also interior noises are common on FD\'s so I understand and some of the plastic parts on the rear hatch we\'re a bit loose on mine.
