After shearing the bolts in my white bonnet, i\'m left putting on a **** red bonnet i had, Now my car is getting laughed at, OFTEN!
So any of you guys got a white turbo 2 bonnet in good condition laying around?
Even black would be better
Anyone fancy a swap?

Gloucester is a little far for me but can arrange it with another trip, Plus ideally I come down in the RX7 and switch the bonnets, leading to what happens to the red one. Could drive to your local scrappers and risk driving back with no bonnet to yours LOL (done it before)

I take it you\'ve tried drilling out the sheared bolts? If not then probably worth a try rather than just junking it.
Is your old bonnet alloy or steel? You can drill and tap the holes and if you have no joy with the final shape then try using the alloy weld stick, let it go rock hard and then re-tap the holes again.
Ok he\'s the problem, as it all happened very close to when I moved flat, was busy moving, using my rx7 to move as it\'s my only car (with red bonnet at this time).
White bonnet in garage, other things on my mind, In the end couldn\'t get it moved (no possible way without renting a van) and just cut my losses with it and left it behind, went back a week later with a van and the landlord had thrown it into a skip (bashed up now)
So didn\'t even get to try drilling out, The white is gone

I got a Black Aluminium turbo bonnet (hell lot lighter than standard steel one) in the garage... it used to be on my WHite T2 turbo to give it that carbon look:Giggle
