Title: Hybrids plus my setup.. what should I expect?
Post by: Jim_rx7 on October 20, 2008, 06:54:24 PM
This is the current setup of the car...

13b-REW Engine (3000 ish miles on fresh rebuild)
HKS Twin Air Filters
Air Pump Removed
Blitz Dump Valve
APL Intercooler
Aeromotive FPR
Walbro Fuel Pump
4 x 850cc Denso Injectors
Full Non Sequential Turbo Conversion
HKS Downpipe
Re-Amemiya Centre Section
Racing Beat Back Box
Apexi Power FC Commander

But the car comes with some hybrid turbos. Standard turbos with rebuilt internals that are good for 1.3 bar.

What sorta figures should I expect if I chose to fit them?

it all depends how much boost you want to run/your setup can handle

Well if the turbos can run 1.3 bar, I want to run 1.3 bar. I suppose it just depends on when the fuelling side of things run out of puff?

Anyone any idea?

fueling will run out way before then, im no expert but i would say around 1bar with your injectors but im not sure.

would also need to upgrade a few more things as well

What else would need upgrading apart from the injectors?

Surely everything else is there already?

The only other thing to add to that would be a HKS twin spark, at least that way you should have no problems with ignition breakup at the top end.

you can up the fuel line pressure to give you a bit more fuel, even with uprated internals they will be producing more heat then power past 1.1 BAR.
I know BNRs or Knightsports had bigger wheels, are your twins any of these makes?
at 1 BAR you may get 340bhp at the wheels depends on the porting of your engine as well, you need a twin spark really past 1 BAR
