Title: FD Rear Suspension Noises...
Post by: philwhite on October 16, 2008, 09:37:06 AM
Hi,

Im getting a lot of sqeaking from my rear suspension and a knocking noise from the rear passenger when going over uneven ground or breaking, I\'m guessing this is likely to be because of the pillowball bushes?

I plan to get the car serviced and the suspension fixed but just wondered if the car is safe to drive in the meantime? I don\'t want to cause any more serious problem by driving it...

Phil.

It\'ll be the pillowballs.
Don\'t worry, thee\'s only 6, not 12 :)

Could well be just the one, but if one\'s gone, the others may not be far behind :(

Jack the car up and give the rear hub a wobble - feel around all the joints to see if you can find any play, it\'s usually quite apparent.

Yeah, forgot to say, it\'s not really dangerous, just an enormous PITA.
Good excuse to rebush the whole lot ;)
