Title: clicking from underneath plenum
Post by: mattywhitt on October 14, 2008, 11:03:27 PM
Hi, my car spluttered to a halt on the motorway today, it now wont start. there is a loud clicking sound coming from underneath the plenum when the ignition is on. Could that be a broken coil pack? The apexi commander says the port air control, charge control and neutral switch are faulty. Need help, i am sick of this car!

Thanks Matthew

Is that on a Turbo II? I sometimes get a loud clicking sound from the area just under the intercooler when the cars ignition is on the accesory position, i was told it could be either a boost control solonoid? Or a noisy fuel pump primer? :3Confused Whatever the hell they are! Lol!

I\'m a bit worried my cars gonna die now! :xconfused

I get this wierd clicking sound in my Turbo II, im mine it seems to be on the driver side front wheel, I thought it might have been the hubs, but it might be the BAC valve or a solenoid hmm

Let me guess it happens when the ignition is left on after running,,, get your coils checked and injectors cleaned, check the Vacc lines on the solenoids and the vacc line to the little boost sensor on the fire wall...

I notice it too on my FD (just converted to full non sec and all emissions removed)

I guess it\'s the injectors that you hear when it runs. Mine runs just fine
