Post by: TiMtImInYtImTiM on October 13, 2008, 02:58:37 PM
Hi All,

I am 24 and have just purchased my 1997 FD3S Efini RX-7. I have been Quoted £1680 for Fully Comp Insurance!

I  am aware that for a 24 Year old the opremium is going to be hight but foes anyone know anywhere in the UK to get a better quote? My FD RX is totaly standard apart from the wheels.

Also...

Does anyone know where to get a Haynes Manual as the only manual i can find finishes at 1993.

Being totaly new to Rotary\'s and RX\'s this is something i am going to need one would imagine!?

Thanks in advance for your help guy\'s and i look forward to shring my Rotary experiences with you all.

I\'d kill to get a quote like that! What do you mean you stuck your parents cars on the policy, are you a named driver?

SKY Insurance all the way ... all my parts and kit and everything is declared and INSURED LIKE FOR LIKE .... dont get misslead in to thinking you declare something it is insured as it isnt with most companies .

SKY all the way . As they know what they are talking about .

Was insured for first year (23, 5yrs NCB) with SKY for just over a grand last year. As mentioned, like-for-like on mods, etc. They then decided to give me a reduction of a whole 30 quid after driving her for a year!!! Not even a single claim either!!

Anyhoo, got a quote from Flux last week for 925 and still got a few others to ring round.

Oh, By \'Noel\' i\'m assuming they mean Noel Dazley Insurance!!

I use AON, McCheap quote it twas (£350), I am 36 now though. I\'ve had performance cars since I was 23 and never paid more than £700. Try Anal F(l)ux, they\'re pretty cheap, and even paid out double quick when I wrote off my GT-Four.

Insurance obtained for 1240 from HIC Insurance who have given me an agreed value, green card and track day cover which i think is a result for a 24 yr old. I am loose on the streets with my beloved RX7... Wooo finaly!

Green card and Track cover = nuremberg ring me thinks!

Thanks for all your help.
