Title: Electric window mystery??
Post by: jonny116 on October 13, 2008, 12:58:32 PM
Everytime i turn the music up loud, it blows the fuse for the electric windows.

Anyone know how to remedy this?

To be honest, I dont know if it is just when the music is turned up because the cd player is always on but i blew three 30amp window fuses in the space of a few hours over weekend and seemed to all be after i\'d had music turned up.

Cheers

Jonny

Do you have an inline fuse on your stereo?
Sounds like your stereo has one of the live feeds taken from the same circuit as the windows (stating the obvious there really).

I\'m really not sure if the sterio itself has an inline fuse on it?  It is correctly earthed and everything.  I am running a seperate 4 way amp which is tucked away.

How can i remedy it?

Just thought i\'d post incase anyone else comes over this, renewed both the fuse for the audio and the windows and are working fine now.

Corroded fuse somewhere or Japanese cars also heal themselves!!
