Title: making holes in the firewall
Post by: jackaleks on October 11, 2008, 07:04:35 PM
where\'s the best place to run cables through the firewall and into the engine bay? i\'m trying move the battery at the moment and i\'m planning a few gauges, but i can\'t find a good existing hole.

where\'s the best place to run cable through without drilling holes?

thanks,

Armoured I hope? ;)

IIRC there\'s a grommet in the passenger side behind the arch liner - that\'s where my power cable goes through :)
If you\'ve pulled your air con there\'s a few handy ones left by the matric feed hoses as well :)

i think i\'ve found that passenger side hole, did you have to get the fender off to thread the cable through to the bay?

thanks for replies!

Noo, no need to have it armourd mate, it\'s tucked up in the guttering provided by mazda & it also has a cercuit breaker, so if anything does hapen it\'s not going to cause any problems ;)
