A know a guy who used to have a Integra DC5, and it had this really odd air intake pipe which fitted to the top edge of the bonnet, near the wipers, and had a scoop to direct air back under the bonnet into the engine bay...
Is this a Honda specific thing, or is it possible to get them for other cars?
I might try making one up, but not really sure where it directed it to..
One draw back was that he couldn\'t open his bonnet without undoing 2 small screws holding the vent on LOL
dosnt sound like its a factory thing lol, was it a mugen intake by any chance?
There are aftermarket kits for MX5\'s that use this kind of snorkle to feed of the scuttle tray area.

yeah, deffo not stock... looked nice though, was carbon.
There is negative pressure in that area at speed, so in other words DON\'T DO IT!!!!!!
Fish
Any intake systems should be in high pressure areas such as the front bumper or where the headlights are, prehaps look at getting a headlight vent:

Gruppe M do these. Carbon Fibre loveliness. Had one for my EP3 Civic type R sound divine and make serious horsepower gains. They are widely accepted as the best inductions kits around.
I had a custom cold air feed on my old car, as the car is normally aspirated until the turbo spools up, as the car is going forward positive airpressure means that the engine can \'breathe\' until the turbo spools :) plus it increase my fuel economy in the other car from 32mpg to 45.9mpg due to the better throttle response lol :D

Oh, OK... :Laugh
Been trying to think of ways to get more air into the engine bay, without spending out on a vented bonnet (want the FEED one)
Got a vented light cover (FEED one) but need more!! trouble is, my rad and intercooler are taking up all the space and need direct feed to the turbo intakes.
might have just what your looking for....my bonnet i had a naca dual 3" duct blended in............as soon as i put the bonnet on and mapped it we found we had to add in more fuel as the turbo was getting more air and running leaner...ill try and find some pics.
this is for sale by the way....it is in a custom black so will need to be painted to the colour of your choice.
how much are you selling it for
make me an offer bud.....as you can see from the pic it took alot of work to get it blended in to the standard bonnet.
Wow nicely done :) If I had an FD it would look exactly like that :D
£100? :) and an old stock bonnet thrown in
Ive just loaded it up in the for sale section for £275...but it wont come up for a few days:2Rolleyes
The DC5 has this as it mates up with the J\'s Racing intake (and a few others) but remember its an N/A so needs the cold air to make power. your turbo will heat it up anyway so i\'d focus my energy on a decent intercooler.

It will use the ram air effect...so the turbo will heat it up a bit yes but the denser colder air will /and always will be beneficial.....Whifbitz...nicked my idea and put it on their TA car, When JayDee was mapping it he had to put in loads for fuel to compensate for the increased airflow to the turbo....he also had to do this with mine........He now has on on his track car....LOL!!!
here you go..................................
