Hi
...the heat light that comes on the dash of the 20B Cosmo -this hasn\'t
anything to do with the rad temp -right? What / where is this sensor...?
Mine seems to come intermittantly, and has nothing to do with driving style considering I\'ve driving it like a grandad....
Thanks
Heat light is the exhaust heat warning light, do you have the cats still in? Either way i believe the ecu will stick a load more fuel in to try and cool things down if it stays on after start up. Look on the DMRH website for a explanation of where it is and how to get around it.

mmmm
interesting, but dumb design in my opinion -if exhaust gets hot let it, its metal
what else is there to do---oh, we\'ll just burn more fuel....rrrriiiiigggghhhhtttt....!! my best mpg is 11-12mpg driving miss daisy
considering selling it or putting in a garage; hell I thought my FD was heavy at approx 14mpg..
To be honest I can\'t remember whats underneath, only had it on the lift once...twice for the service but then I wasn\'t doing the oil change....
Thanks for the tip -maybe i\'ll find that sensor and install a switch...on if I
need to know my exhaust is getting hot, off if I couldnt care less....
:burnout
Because excess heat could be symptomatic of a blocked cat, and a blocked cat can cause very high EGT\'s, which can lead to bigger issues.
ok then,
i guess my issue here is the Cosmo is heavy enough on fuel...
suggestion :
take the average speed, exhaust temp, ambient temp, altitude -and work out the rate at which it should "cool"...
mine seems to come on when driving really slow , obviously the air flow
isn\'t cooling pipe work....etc
:Talking1
Amen
Certain ECU\'s use the dash lights to flash error codes... well, the PowerFC does on the FD... just a thought.

to be honest i dont remember, only had it on a lift once ...lets assume the cats are there....
do you know where this sensor is ? -is it near the cat then ? {the lamda sensor should
be as close as possible to the turbos....}
Thanks
