Title: I Have A Problem (I Think)
Post by: MintyFresh on March 27, 2004, 09:09:55 AM
When i lift of the gas i get a slight belt slipping noise, and a bit of a rattle from the engine bay.
i only noticed coz i had the window open yesterday.  what could this be?

Also, is the the turbo spool up always as vocal as it is in my rex, a nice whizzing?  I have a 200sx with a T28 turbo, and i never get that sound.

You shouldn\'t hear the turbo, and the rotary engine is known for it\'s smoothness so should be no rattles or vibrations either better off taking it to a garage to get checked.

I take it a vocal turbo is a bad thing?

I have a RE-A induction kit, and a Mazda Speed Exhaust.  The turbo makes a whizzing sound under boost, but you can hear it with the window closed.

could a whizzing noise (not unlike a small jet engine) be the foam RE-A induction kit?
