Title: make your own quad light conversion

i dont have pictures so its going to be imposable to try and explain but i like to try the imposable

get four 4 inch hella lights. some come with angle eye.

make a plate that has the same shape as the origonal light holder. (the metal bit that is held by two adjusting screws)

cut slots for the mounting screws then cut out the holes for the light to fit throught the plate.

mount lights to plate then fix to car using the same screws and spring.

the origonal light has power for high and low beem. wire one for live on one light and the other for the other light. common earth. i wired a side light into one light so power turned on one light and the side light in the other light.this is all one side. same for the other side.

you could wire a relay so high beem powers both lights from the high beem live. this is because the low beem turns off when the high beem is activated.

basic but it does works.

ths sleepy eye isnt as easy as just shortening the rod because the rod will be too short when it shuts. it will burn out the motor or pop off the rod. i made my rods by cutting them in half and re-joining them with a sliding middle. this way they are the same length when shut as they are standard but when pushed up they slide short. you will have to tension the rod with a spring or they will rise higher the faster you go.

not a 5 min job but looks good. as for the cab for sale\'s lights, like i said i cant remember how he said he did it. might be a better way.

feel free to ask any questions but i wont be answering them because im getting ready to go on holiday first thing in the morning.

have fun with your conversions

Actually that does make some sort of sense !

I didn\'t think you had a car to put the lights on anymore - or have you got something up your sleeve ;)

I think RaceOne USA has some quad light kits on eBay a while back ?
