Title: Power FC question....
Post by: Jono FD3 on September 29, 2008, 07:45:35 PM
Is it possible to see what temp the cooling fans are set too?? also are the fans activated by the same sensor as the digi read out on the commander or does it have it\'s own sensor unit??

Reason I ask is that I need to try and find out if my water temp sensor is giving faulse readings or for some bizzar reason my engine isn\'t coming up to temp properly!!!

Changed the thermostat to a new stock unit & the car is now running colder than when I had the old one in (acording to my PFC)!!

cheers

You can see and change the fan set temp using the datalogit software. Not sure if you can do it with the commander Ive never tried as Ive got the datalogit.

As for the sensor question I think they are one and the same but I dont know this for certain.

LOL, on the new engine I might just do that mate, but for the sake of 6 months I think I\'ll just jump up and down ;) Prety shure greg set them to 86 as that is the temp my PFC reads at when the come on.... just wanted to check to see if they were set at 96 & the temp sesnor was 10c out if you see what I mean??

Greg set mine to 89/90. 86 seems a bit low.
