Title: Exhaust + Ecu = Quick anwer...?
Post by: Twin40 on September 26, 2008, 11:06:54 AM
Hey Guys,

I\'ve had a search around the forums, but i can\'t find a definite answer - basically i\'ve got a nice high flow cat that i\'d like to bolt on my fd3, i\'ve removed the airpump (was knackered anyway) and fitted a smaller belt.

The car is running:-

Trust SMIC
ARC Induction box
HKS downpipe
Racing Beat Catback
Knightsports ECU

If i fit this high flow cat will i blow the engine to bits?? Seems to be alot people going on about fitting an ECU before - whys this? Will it cause the engine to run very lean?

I\'m going to get a apexi next month, but am i ok to run with this setup for now?

Cheers

Clive

Potential to run lean and lose a tip with those mods. Drive off boost until you get the apexi fitted.

Oooooo I like the rims mate.... what are they and any chance of a pic?? Mine was imported with odd wheels (MS01\'s on the front & allycat style deep dish on the rear) think the rears were something insain like 10\'s running 275 35 17. never seen another car with them before or since!!!

I\'m running some BBS RS 17" wheels, love them - nice offsets and the rears are 9.5" wide ;)
