Just felt so chuffed at getting my car back with the bodywork all done that I though i\'d plop up some pics here for anyone who cant look in the members section (or cant be ars!d reading my inane drivel there, lol). Just picked her up today, my Ruby and she\'s beautiful again, not a mark or blemish, no more melting, sagging, pink front bumper, no more gaps in the wing/door gap, no more chewed up sills hanging out her gusset.
Gotta take my metaphorical hat of to Jason at Super 7 again, I dunno how he continues to turn my sows ear of a car into a silk purse, but he\'s done it again. It\'s just a mgnificent spray job, and the fit is fanastic considering the awful fitment of the stuff I gave him, especially the flubbery rubbery skirts, which were really only fit for the bin. Anyway, enough of my waffle, what d\'ya reckon?

Looks very very nice mate. Not too keen on the front bumper but that\'s down to your own personal taste so ignore me.
Glad to see your finally getting some enjoyment out of your car!!

Cheers, dude. I don\'t mind if people dont wanna like the bumper. I have to say, I really didnt the first time I saw one, and I still think the rest of the 15th Anniversary Mazdaspeed kit is
really nasty. The more I saw this bumper, the more I liked it, though. I think it\'s cos its very like the stock one, only...more so. A bit more aggressive, a bit more stylish, without being OTT. It\'s all personal taste, and mine just doesn\'t run to massive vents and scoops and canards (or any other sorta duck:Laugh). Vive la differance!
Yeah I know what you mean, I think for me personally though it\'s the size of the bumper lights which detracts from the rest of the bumper, which as you said is quite stylish/aggressive.
Anyway it\'s good to be different!! :D
nicely done there Nik :god
I like, nice and subtle. Doesn\'t look like lumps of plastic have been stuck on everywhere, retains the lines of the rex just as they should be. Thumbs up
nice nice.. personally i\'d fit a front carbon splitter with chrome links to it hehe
sth like this

Looks great Nick, glad the car is coming along much better, she looks great!!:burnout:yes:guinness
Cheers for all the kind comments, guys. Liam, I had actually thought about a carbon waffer-thin splitter, but there\'s one particularly mahoosive speed bump on the way into the car park at work that I think may be the final word on that idea. Tempting, though :yes......
Locki, she is coming along a bit better, mate, she looks nice now, anyway. Shame the powerplant frame\'s broken now, though! Gotta say one thing for my luck, it\'s consistent!:Giggle
Yes - we like indeed - always good to see a nice shiney red car!! Must work on mine again over the w/e #;o)
looks great mate
saw your car down there other week being prep\'d....
my car is down there as well and he\'s spraying so glad to hear your happy with what he has done :Thumbs-up
not all that keen on the bumper but thats my own personal opinion so ignore me :)
Wotcher! :D
Looking good dude. Looks much better in the flesh and ill eat my words wrt that bumper looking shocking. Still think your engine bay needs sorting out though :D
Cheers, guys! :Thumbs-upGyles, I got a sneak preview of your bonnet the other day. It\'s well good, almost seems a shame to paint it, although I\'ve still a sneaky love of Montego Blue....
Blimey! Was that the rarest of things, Jit (almost) admitting being wrong :Giggle? As near as I\'ll ever get, methinks :yes! Cheers, dude, I know if you\'re ok with it, it must be ok, if that makes sense. Gutted I\'ve missed your Mazdaspeed powerplant frame, though, looks like my typical bad timing there.
I need some red Samco stuff, I think. I may be starting to feel you and Adam have got a point there.......
Wotcha back atcha :D
Me? admit i was wrong? nooooo i said it looks better in the flesh....rather in the way that jade goody looks better in the flesh compared to the pics where the tabloids and magazines appear to be trying to make her look worse (didnt think that was possible!)....(im in NO WAY implying that jade goody looks good btw...before the "shoulda gone to spec savers" smartarses butt in). :D
dude...that PPF went a looooooooooong time ago....im talking like atleast a month ago!!
Just whack a stock PPF on there for now dude...them MS ones are appearing a lot harder to find these days
Stock it is, then. Maybe I should buy up a load for when it breaks again.....
Are you comparing my car to Jade Goody? That\'s a bit much, innit! :D
DAM i HATE.... DETEST speed bumps!!!! managed to break my lower lip spoiler the other day!!!
so anoyed with dam speed bumps!!!
think will either repair it properly n respray or jus get new bodykit hehe

Well both of them have a bigger mounth that normal :rollin
Adam
Rofl :)......
Love it, want to iron out some of the dinks in mine, get it that smooth.
Red FTW.
You disappoint me, u don\'t even have grey hair "old man" pff- the car does look great, I\'m glad she no longer has egay-lights, a shopping list & pap written across the back (sorry :D)... Jason is very skilled with body work, the lines between your bumper & wing are perfection.
The bumper looks good but the light cover looks slightly max power, its like a window looking into the original \'92 spec, could you tint it more? Lose the screws & have them bonded with clear casting resin?
Looking good mate. Glad you got her back???

Ha ha! Sorry to disappoint you, Young Boy, I\'ve a habit of not living up to expectations! It was a sunny day so my distinguished silver highlights didn\'t show up too much! I can assure you, I\'ve plenty of grey hairs :yes, not all due to the car! Great to finaly meet one of my nemesises (wot\'s the plural of nemesis, then?), and ta vurrah much for trying to sort out my stereo, dude! :Thumbs-up
I know what you mean about the sidelight covers, not sure what the solution is. I had some crystal US stylee ones, but because the recess is deeper than the stock bumper, and the lights were also slightly deeper where the bulb-holder is, the headlights caught on them when coming up. I had a good set of de-fried-eggified sidies, but sold them a while back, so I think I\'ll have to do another conversion.
I tried tinting film on the covers, but because the dish on them is quite deep, it\'s impossible to use the film without a million creases forming, which looks proper sh!t. I guess tinting spray may work, but it\'s a bit permananent if I then find it\'s too dark to see the lights and indicators through. Bonding them in would be one way to lose the screws, but it\'d only be good until I had to change a bulb in the lights, and then I\'d have to remove the whole bumper! Maybe just painting the screw heads with a it of black paint might be enough.
:xconfused Arrgh! too many questions, not enough answers. Not sure what to do now. Blunder on blindly and make a right lash of it in my own unique idiom, probably :Giggle
Pete, yeah, thanks, mate, well chuffed to have her back. Hopefully once the powerplant frame\'s sorted, I can keep her away from Jason for more than a couple of weeks at a time!
