Hi guys
How much and what grade of gear oil should I put in my FC Turbo II?
It also seems to have 2 drain plugs (one large hex one and a small square one) as well as 2 filling plugs (2 square ones)?
Is there a reason for this?
Cheers :)
Ally
IIRC the top plug is the filler, the middle the inspection, and the bootom one is the drain.
Can\'t recall volumes off the top of my head thouhg :wave
When I helped with profs install I think it took 2.5 litres, we used a small oil pump can attached to a piece of pipe :)
I just did mine - took the best part of 3 Litres (about 2.7-2.8) - I think the box was empty :)
Drain from the main plug first, then there is a little one further back under the selector - drain that one too. Once you\'ve drained both - pop your plugs back in.
Then loosen both the side plugs and remove them - your best bet is to get a length of pipe - poke that into the top hole, and then pass the pipe up through the engine bay and connect the other end to an oil can or something and get pumping. Mine came in 1L bottles - so during the 3rd one, I was under the car watching for dribbles from the bottom plug hole whilst a friend squeezed the last little bit in. Once it\'s reached the bottom plug, put both plugs back in and tighten.
Thanks guys. :Thumbsup!
Allywrx,
See that\'s you\'re into drifting? and no carpet inside the car. right?
What\'s to do to make a hole( 2"-3" square or round at the at passageside\'s gearbox tunnel and make a alloy sheeting as a cover petal and insured with self tapped screws with RTV( keep oot the water).
remember to find the the distance/length proir to drilling or cutting.
Easy poured into gearbox top hole withoot long tubing.;)
understand!!
