Title: GRRR, got hit, again!
Post by: Bobbit on September 22, 2008, 10:52:08 AM
:2Mad Got hit from behind at a round about, 2nd time i\'ve been hit in as many months.  :2Mad
Guy was nice enough but FFS! Rear bumper is screwed, lights for the rear number place literally fell out and something has come through the bumper from behind??? Its a sharp bit of plastic that has made a nice hole in the bumper, also go a lovely matt oblong where the paint split and the guy just rubbed it off, bit of paint flaked everywhere leaving the matt effect, lovely! Neck is giving a few twinges but nothing serious (yet) i\'m not one to claim money for nothing so unless it caused me problems i\'m gonna ignore it.
Remembered to take photos this time as well as the guys name address and number.
Gutted
Good news is that my diffuser does not seem to be damaged.

Claim! Claim! get yourself a free holiday out of it :Giggle!

Rough luck, though, dude. Maybe when they teach these idiots that they only give way at roundabouts and dont have to stop, that doesnt include times when the CAR IN FRONT HAS ALREADY STOPPED! It\'s not rocket science, is it!

lol, yeah, must have wanted a closer look! Car seems ok after driving it home, the number plate holder is screwed, it was all bent and i had to spend 1/2 hr with a hammer so the number plate could be easily seen. got all my carbon bits fitted now, just to cheer myself up a bit, looks sweet imo.

Just the back bumper for now Steven, the insurers for the Yaris that hit my rear 1/4 still have not heared from the woman that hit me.

It should\'nt be the women who your insurance need to be getting in contact with Rob but her insurance company. Its irelevent whether she is answering her phone or not as a lot of people who hit someone else are reluctant to accept it so thats why your insurance firm deal with her insurance firm. Then they just send her a letter stating that she is at fault and has lost her ncb.

Thats it!! If her insurance want to fight it they can but very rarely do in instances when she neglects to tell her insurance about it anyway.

Get on to your insurance mate tell em to pull their finger out.

I\'m using a solicitor to deal with it Neil, they have contacted her insurers. But neither my solicitor or her insurers can get in contact with the woman. I\'ve had to fill in a form detailing what happend, when it happened, if I could recognise her again, I had to draw a diagram etc. It\'s being dealt with but it\'s going really slowly.

Sorry Rob but i still dont follow why her insurers are claiming they cannot get hold of her. What difference does it make if they cannot get hold of her? You are not claiming off her, your insurance/solicitor is claiming from her insurance so regardless whether she decides to answer their calls/corrospondance or not, is irrelevent.

If she doesnt respond SHE IS GUILTY

Your solicitor should know this??

Can you guess it aint my first time dealing with the insurance legal system:Grrr.

Obviously not having a go at you kidda just boils my **** when insurance people try and wangle their own profit by dragging **** out !!!!

LOL, I can tell this annoys you fella, it\'s getting dealt with but these things take time. I\'ve got 2 post-it notes that she wrote her name and address on so I can provide them if the worst happens so I\'m not stressing too much about it.
