Title: Want to fit the 3rd Stop Light to my FD
Post by: Andrew Harper on September 21, 2008, 04:47:02 PM
Hi,

I\'m looking at fitting the 3rd high level stop light to my car (1995 model so it doesn\'t have it at the mo)

I haven\'t properly looked yet, but does the car already have the plugs on the harness for it or am I going to have to wire something in?

I\'ve noticed on the Parts Catalogue there is a mini loom that goes to the stop lamp itself, would I need one of these as well?

I don\'t know if anyone has done this mod.

Andrew.

All the FD\'s came with brake lights in the centre section as far as I\'m aware!??

I believe that UK/European law only required the 3rd rear stoplight from \'96 (could be wrong about, can\'t remember now...!)

But the centre stop light on my car is a dummy one. It\'s hollow, there\'s no connectors for bulbs on the back.

The only reason why I started the thread is because I was wondering if Mazda made the harness with the connectors on already, doesn\'t seem much sense making one for Japan and one for the UK/European spec cars.
