I\'ve got a trust SMIC, profec B boost controller, HKS downpipe, silenced decat and kakimoto cat back all to be fitted when I find a pfc. Question is if I fit the lot can I then drive an hour or so on the motorway to WGT for a map. I\'ll have the boost set low and take it steady but is it still risky? If not is my only option to trailer it there?
You can do it as long as you don\'t boost it.

i reckon you could get around 310-320 fwhp safely with standard turbo\'s etc...
i think pip wont map to .85 bar cos of your injector cycle duty assuming you have standard fuellng. at .8 you should make 340 - 350fwhp. my car did with similar mods.
With an almost identical setup, i drove a 1.5 hour journey entirely off boost to WGT, pip mapped it to 0.9, and i came away with circa 340 atf :)
That was with 99 spec turbo\'s, and the IC as part of a V-mount though :)
I have had, Blitz intakes, Trust Smic, hardpipes and bov etc usual stuff. FULL straight through with nurspec R, water injection, on apexi base map for about a year allbeit the ic fitted recently and ive done a little drag and alot of circuit and drift without any probolems what so ever. If you check the fueling with a wideband and your boost is controlled there is absolutely no reason why you should have a problem. depending on the year of your pfc and exact model its gonna be richer than a stock ecu anyway.
alot of this get it towed or drive gently gently is just over cautousness or heresay.
All i would say is ensure your boost is controlled and doesnt spike or creep as when you add mods like intercoolers and exhaust mods this can easily happen.

So would 0.85bar be maxing out the injectors? Didn\'t expect that to be an issue, will discuss this with Pip anyway and maybe sort some fueling mods first to avoid paying for a second map. Dr Schnitzel did you have fueling mods when running 0.8bar?
Interesting point Tharek, was looking to invest in a wideband anyway to keep an eye on things. The profec B should keep a handle on boost spike when I\'ve got it set up properly. I\'d still want a map to get the best from the setup but it sounds like getting to WGT certainly shouldn\'t be a problem :Thumbs-up
