Just out of intrest, whats the biggest single turbo you can fit on a 13b engine??
Obviously with all the other mods aswell,... i dont mean the biggest you can get away with on a standard setup thats going to go single turbo....just the bigggest that is available
:D
Any pics?
Just curious,
Dan!!
A Kit has just been supplied to a car over here that is Soooo big it\'s manifold has been made to push the Turbo [ big GT42 hybrid] forward and around the front of the Engine and the Wastegate is the size of like a moped Engine!!!
It will debut at RotorStock.
Dan,
How long is a piece of string? :)
How big is your budget? :)
Turbo\'s go much much bigger than what would actually work on a 13B engine (i.e. truck/train etc.).
GT42 is a diesel truck based turbo - but can be set-up for rotary or piston engine application.
It really comes down to porting, engine etc. if the engine block itself isn\'t set-up properly (dowelled) running the correct seals then it is all pointless. Let alone all the ancillaries.
Some would argue and say that a twin turbo based system (not sequential) is actually more efficient than a single. And in the case of a 3rotor 3 individual turbos could be used.
In Oz TA45, large hybrid T04\'s, T51\'s etc. are quite popular. Turbonetics do a very nice range of turbos also.
Thanks clive, who\'s car is that goin onto?...or is it secret?...or is it ross\'s
Glen...haha, sorry mate, i dont have funds to go crazy like that.
Is that for real 3 turbos for 3 rotors???
Has that been done before?
Cheers lads,
Dan!!
3 rotors is for real, I have seen pictures of one done and it looks totally mental. Never heard of it running though, or how it performed.
3 rotors 3 turbos ... in a Ford Probe
GOOD GOD!!! WHOS GONNA PAY FOR THE FUEL????:rollin :rollin
no intercooler either so it\'ll be a methanol jobbie too !
fuel consumption measured in £\'s per second I think !
