After a week of sunny (!) England, I\'m heading back to the Fatherland for some Nurburgring action. So I bought some goodies for the car, and gave her a damn good polishing in a brief dry spell here today.
Biggest new addition are the carbon aero skirts, made and supplied by Atomic Rex - they are brilliant. The quality is outstanding, my bodyshop guy said how impressed he was as they fitted with every contour of the floorpan, was a piece of cake to fit. Big thumbs up from me therefore.:Thumbs-up Thanks Jon.
Pics anyway:

Cool :D take care over there! And ive just noticed you are running RX8 rims :) they look rather nice :)
I am glad your happy with them skirts, you got them speedily fitted :)
Have a good one at the ring and bring your car and yourself back in one piece
are these skirts basically like the feed
Quote from: skybusr34;536280are these skirts basically like the feed
Nope.....They are our design of slimline side skirt
Well done Ash for fitting them so quickly! Glad you like the quality, this is the same quality that all our in-house products are designed and manufactured to.
Take it easy at the Ring.....Will be good to see some photos of the Rx there as Im missing the place this year :(
Feed type 2 rear wing, I like that :)
I really like them skirts how much are thay
Didn\'t get on the ring, had some engine issues at 140-150 when chasing a Maserati :(
Basically big cloud of smoke on WOT which disappeared when I let off, car still runs and pulls fine, but has lumpy idle. It was like a Red Arrows display apparently. :rollin
People seem to think leaky turbo seal under pressure, and gummed up sparks causing idle trouble. I\'m stumped, need to get it checked before any more spanking.
Hiya Ash,
I did try to call you yesterday but your phone kept going to answering machine.
Sorry to hear that it didnt work out...I know how much youve been looking forward to getting out there!
Will try to ring you today
Yeah my phone died, and I had no converter to charge it up again. Sorry mate.
Spoke to WGT today, and Pip seemed to think it was a blown bearing, letting oil into the compressor housing at high RPMs.
Engine starts and runs ok, but obviously the extra oil isn\'t helping the spark or tickover.

Surely your joking!? What aspect of them did you design?
Is this coming from someone who bought a drag car from the states and then tried to claim it as his own, by painting it black?
Ross stop trying to cause trouble....we had our own moulds made up, agreed they are slightly similar to the feed skirts, but we have made them slightly different too, for one ours are genuine carbon and not carbon overlaid on GRP! They weigh less, they fit better too!
Slightly similar to feed!!? Whatever! Keep living in dream world.
I\'ve seen both, they are different. I prefer Jon\'s. I could buy some second hand FEED ones or get some brand new, perfect fit and great finish Atomic Rex ones for the same money, and you can see what choice I made.
Do you have a selection of axes to grind or just a HUGE one you use for everyone? Whatever. I don\'t really care, just keep your bitchy comments out of my thread, thanks.
Well said mate
