Title: just springs
Post by: richrx on March 24, 2004, 06:30:19 PM
hi

i have been looking at buying a set of lowering springs for my FD, just wanting to know if there a good idea on their own. They\'d be blitz or a make similar.

they would be mainly for improving the look of the car, so pro\'s and cons would be great.

also the car wont bounce all over the place like other cars on springs onlyi.e 1.2 clio\'s etc:D

I remember somewhere someone saying that they had Eibach springs fitted to stock dampers with good results, but what year is your car? Anything older than say 5 years and it sould be a safe bet to say that your suspension would have seen better days, so it might also be worth swapping the dampers as well.

I\'ve just ordered a set of TEIN lowering springs from Demon Tweeks, they should take about 3weeks to arrive and had to I just had give a £25 deposit. I asked about the Eibach spring, but the guy said they wern\'t listed in the catalogue for the FD. I think TEIN have a pretty good rep, and i will come back to with results once i\'ve fitted em and bedded them in:bandit ;)
