I got a CD rom from Ebay that covers all 3 gens of rx7. Its from the us and i belive is free to download. i.e no copyright.
If anyone wants me to copy them one and i hope this is OK with Clive, Gary and the bunch, they can PM there details and donate a fiver to MRC
If this is OK with you lot can you sort out where they send cash ect, or will this cause more problems than its worth???
Just like to give a little back
:D
i always wondered seeing them on ebay, & sorry if it is, but is it the same as on http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/ (http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/) ?
Si
its there or there abouts.
lots of people have 56k so take years to down load.
Real nice gesture, thanks,
l sure have no problem with someone trying to devise ways of helping their Club.
This may be time consuming, but generally I have found through experience that it\'s a better way to send bulk data, like a CD\'s worth of info.
What you do is burn copies of the CD, people send you a fiver. I am pretty sure you would have sufficient takers.
Out of the fiver you take the cost of the CDs and maybe the cost of a cheap burner (buring many CDs is hard on a burner). You cant take the cost of your time, just to avoid freeware and similar issues. You can even employ some other folks to help you burn them, with the same deal for them (obviously, you can\'t all get a burner, but it spreads the time part of it out) covering costs of CD\'s and such. Also out of the fiver you take postage at the cheapest rate.
What\'s left, send in.
Granted, the club gets less percentage wise, but a heck of a lot more people can get the CD, so in the end the club wins. You manage to get an extra burner in your puter (run both at once, saves time) as a token of goodwill from the folks here, and anyone who wants one gets a copy of this CD without the headaches and hassles of a major download. Even if you do this yourself, using two burners, burning 200 CDs will probably take you a good weekend (around 20 hours or so).
Stu, on the slowest conection I can have, 1.5m/s ADSL...
Just thought of something I forgot (like a fool!).
Safer thing to do is take orders through the club, burn them plus extras and then send them out via the club if its all OK. Avoids the worry some people have dealing online. Also include a disclaimer that removes EVERYTHING from you, so if something is wrong, copyright or something else goes astray, you don\'t end up wearing everything. After all, you would be doing this is good faith and wouldn\'t deserve to get \'bent over\' for the good deed.
Cheers for you advise.
OK peoples send me a PM with your address details and i will give you mine. Pop me a Fiver cheque/postal order, cash at your own risk.
I will burn CD and get it back to you.
Depending on the number of CD i will send MRC a cheque say once a month.
