Title: ignition leads
Post by: meddy on September 01, 2008, 10:18:27 PM
Well folks Im happy to admit Ive done something silly. :2Rolleyes

I was in the process of replacing the ignition leads on my 95 FD but managed to snap one of the oil filler bolts in the process. In the excitement of getting this sorted I have manged to forget the position 2 of the leads were in. Can someone please tell me from memory or by looking at their car....Of the centre two leads which have the straight connectors to the coilpack does the top lead fit the left or right spark plug? Cheers...

Not much but it\'s all i\'ve got - I think i may have another one at home to check. There\'s also a fair few more of that area on rob robinette\'s site here: http://www.rx7.org/Robinette/hoses.htm:)

Out of interest, what leads have you gone for? I\'ve got a horrendous misfire and it\'s first on my list.

Thanks for that but no I cant really see. I think I need a shot from side of the engine.

I went for the KV85 Magnecor leads. My stock ones were fairly battered and I thought while I had the plenum off to remove the ACV I might as well change them.

Just for completeness if anyone does a search its the top coilpack for the left leading spark plug and right for the lower unit.
