Hi all, been thinking about the 13b Cosmo, have had little chance to drive it (work in the military) as I am at the opposite end of the country. Seems a shame for it to sit and do nothing but at the same time I can\'t help thinking that it would look the bees knees with a set of MS02\'s and a set of the coilovers that have recently become available through MRP.

I think it would all comes down to what think it\'s worth.

Deciding to sell is one thing - getting what you think it\'s worth could well be another.

I was hoping for between £1500 - £2000 but I am aware of the trouble you had selling your 20b so who knows...

As John said getting a good price can be a issue. Also you have a known car if you got another at a later date what would you be getting? Another option is to SORN the car until your based closer. It really does depend on your future plans.

It appears, from the response to trying to sell my 20b, that I want more than ppl think it\'s worth -  so I\'ll probably keep it.

I think you should get that for yours, assuming it looks good.

Not a sellers market for anything atm - If you do sell you need to be prepared to wait months for the right buyer to come along.

There you go, she has good compression (I have my own geniune mazda compression checker thing), low mileage, full alloy PWR rad, Mazdaspeed panel filter, years tax/mot

What is the mileage?  What is the actual spec of the 13B-RE cosmo?  Are they twins?

(Saves me having to look it up)

Hi Brett the spec is simialr to the 13b REW found in the FD, only the uim and lim are of a larger bore allowing gases to flow more rapidly, the 13b RE in development terms, is sort of between the 13b turbo from the FC and the REW in the FD. There is a lot more info on www.dmrh.au.com (http://www.dmrh.au.com) (thats from memory, if it doesnt work try searching for dmrh on the forum).
 
Off the top of my head its done the equivalent of 40Kish miles (60k kms). Its an auto too. Some people find it a relaxing alternative to the rampant FD.
 
Sorry, would not be interested in a deal with the evo II, maybe if I was in that area of the country I would be, but it would not get any more use than the cosmo.

Well hello Daz, it truly is a small round one, hope things with you are good, I am at Kinloss, feels like eternal night up here as the days are sooo short.
Was it a 13b cosmo you were after as there was someone on here selling a lovely \'95 20b, and you are definately right, the cosmo is a much nicer proposition than an rx (i dont really fit in rx\'s, cosmos are fine).

Off to seeb for chrimbo and new year, ace! at least its warmer. Not sure who it is with the 20b cosmo, but i think he is a moderator on the forums and if i was after one thats the one i would go for without a doubt, its got low mileage, last of the production and tein suspension alll for 4k ish, billy bargain! As for mine, i might convert it to manual, tried three auto boxes in it now, not sure what the fault is, its symptomatic of a leccy problem but its not, weird.

I had two guys from Germany both wanting to bid.

Not being an ebay expert I could\'t find the option to allow bidders from outside the UK so there was a sort of mini-auction going on.

Needs towing due to undiagnosed gearbox fault (see above) have tried three to no avail, dont have the time to mess with it anymore. The engine runs fine, i have a compression tester so i can let you know the results if interested. Unfortunately it wont be free but it might save someone the cost of an engine rebuild.

It would appear to be a gearbox problem, I say appear because despite having located and changed the gearbox three times the problem initially disappears then eventually returns. Apart from that the car is fully functional, even the full LCD dash works fine.
