I was thinking that.. im not sure why its only been set to that.... full boost power bound is literally only 2rpm.... :(

So what do you reckon? im taking it down to rotorworx in portsmouth soon.

Did you buy your car after a recent rebuild? Might have been set low to run in.

Some people also drop the limit on the PFCs when leaving their cars at a garage so the people there can\'t rape the car around. Might not have been changed up again.

as long as you know its all mapped and feel safe playing around with it then get it upped and the engine is strong, if not wait until you get it to reworx, they will sort you out.

i would say 8k maybe a bit more

If you check on streetfire, there is a video of an FC with a turboed 20B reving to 16k lol :) if you are needing to rev higher you would need to underdrive the waterpump so it doesn\'t cavitate and I don\'t know what you need to do to stop the OMP exploding lol plus make sure that you have a good fuel pump and injectors :)

Which will last for about 3 seconds unless you are very lucky :D The N/As racing in the southern hemisphere manage to squeeze 13K or so, but thats still **really** pushing it, and with as much trick internal work as you can envisage.

dont you need clearanced rotors to run that high?

You would need lightened, clearanced and balanced rotors and probably a custom multipiece e-shaft me thinks. My FC doesn\'t have a limiter lol

BlitzBoy is correct. 8100 is the magic number for stock FD\'s, if you\'re ballsy and your engine is in really good shape you may push 8500. You can easily change the rev limit with a PFC by going into the SETTINGS menu on the commander. I will be setting my revs to 3k (than removing the Commander) when I ship my car back to the states this winter.

I\'d be very leery of going above that w/o some serious modification (geared towards raising safe rev\'s) though...

Wouldn\'t depend on porting of the engine too ? Mine on stock ports runs out of power at about 6500 so doesn\'t need to rev past 7k. Streetport and Bridge are higher but by how much ?

peak power on stock ports is around 6500 but the power does not suddenly drop of after that, but Shaun if you are changing up at around 6.5K then no wonder your quarter mile times are not as good as they should be, I would be changing about at around 7.5K as then your revs drops should drop right into the power zone.
My peak power on my half bridge is around 8100-8200, I will be a raising my rev limit to 8400 so I can change up at around at around 8200, as I hit the limiter on the strip a few times at RS

No I was shifting about 7k to 7.5k on the strip. I think the wind didn\'t do me any favours and my air temps where terrible too !

I just wanted to point out that there was no point in setting it at 8400 if the engine is a stock port even with a huge turbo !
