Until the other day, I thought my aircon just needed regassing, but having it on for an extended period of time (got rather warm on track!), it actually came on properly (i.e. cold air).
So, I assume that the gas is OK, as my experience of systems requiring a re-gas is that they get progressively less cold, not sporadic on/off behaviour.
Any ideas what might cause this? Can\'t see any connection problems from the top of the engine bay.
check on your pfc you be abale to see if its coming on
Mine\'s just been fixed today, there were some loose joints and a hose that needed replacing. Get it checked out, they\'ll put a highlighter dye in the system to locate any leaks.
If there\'s a problem, they can fix it quite cheaply, regas and repressurize, and you\'ll be nice and consistently cool again.
The guy did say that RX7s tend to either be very cheap to fix (£40 for me) or very expensive if something major has gone tits up.
sometimes if there is too much gas/overpressurized, it cuts out automatically (some dort of automatic clutch i believe) - get it to a specialist or get a pressure gauge on the low pressure side (halfords sell them)
Didn\'t realise the PFC showed aircon in its sensor check, so will give that a look. Sounds like it needs to go to an aircon place anyroad.
I\'ll have to check mine too, It runs really cold but now and then it doesn\'t blow cold then suddenly comes out very cold again. I did not realise the Apexi had settings for it
