Post by: SavageUK on August 27, 2008, 10:47:37 PM
I think this may have ben asked before but i cant find the correct thread:

Ive ordered a light cover for my fd after the wind ripped my last one off, and im going to need to paint it. Its in Black, the fastest colour, and need to know either where i can get some PZ black paint or what other paint from other manufacturers i can use to get a match.

i\'ve used these guys before when i was in a hurry, the mazda bongo pz is the same as the fd PZ

400mls is £18 though which is steep.

If there off the car you may be best taking them to a bodyshop and getting them done properly, you can\'t match the finish with aerosols.

The other thing is PZ is very black (i know it sounds daft) but when i use it at work its basically the two base coat Blacks mixed together (there is no other colours) you quite often find Manufactures make there Black grayer or browner because the Blacker the colour the harder it is to keep clean.

I see you\'re in Accrington, if you get over to Burnley and go to Autopaint (it\'s really a trade place) they\'ll mix you up some PZ in a spray can or a tin for a proper gun. £8 a 400ml spraycan, I\'ve just sprayed my front bumper and skirts with their PZ and it matches in fine. It\'s opposite the Nissan dealer. Also they\'re pretty cheap for primer etc too. As said above you\'ll never match a gun finish with a rattle can but I\'m pretty pleased with the finish I got.
