Title: How do I solve this issue!?
Post by: nikp on August 27, 2008, 07:30:27 PM
Ok, I have a technical problem:

The wife\'s pregnant. I figure I have the following options:

1. Sell car
2. Try and find a car seat that fits in the back
3. Anytime we go away for the weekend, wife has to drive her own car, and me in the rex! :D
4. Baby goes on roof rack! :D

Any other options?!

(I\'m stoked by the way! :p)

twife has a sensible car actually. It\'s a nice sensible 1.3l 5 door 52 plate Ford Fiesta. It\'s great.

But could we go away for the weekend in the \'7 with the little \'un!? :D

Can\'t wait though! :D:D

if you have both these cars I think your sorted. When mine were little they came in the RX but as babies I would not put mine in it.
Too noisy for there ears
And Id want to be driving a more sedate car with the wee one in the back, theres a tendency to drive to fast with precious cargo on board.

keep the RX for lads weekends out and shows, and a practical car for family weekends.

Good point: very precious cargo indeed.

My little one was born fourteen months ago, and I\'ve managed to cling on to the Rex ok. My missus has a nice little sensible Jazz, so it works out ok. You should be fine with your wife\'s Fester, specially since it\'s got enough doors. If it\'d been a three-door, I\'d have said trade it quick, you cannot appreciate the true meaning of the word "NIGHTMARE" until you\'ve tried to strap a screaming nipper into a kiddie seat in the back of a three-door car. It\'d be easier to plait water! Or herd cats!

Lol... Just make sure you put ear plugs/muffs on them so it doesnt cause damage!

I remember my dad saying when me and my sis. were younger, and we were crying/misbehaving etc, he used to take us out for a drive and it used to make us go to sleep.
With the little \'un wearing ear protection I could imagine the Nur\' Spec bass vibrations being quite relaxing..
WIN-WIN. :cheers

humm i couldnt get a baby seat in the fc - but since my daughter was about 3 - she has a different seat and sits fine

its great when she asks "make it go loud daddy" :D

i avoided all these problems by buying the better half a scenic - loads of room , i have a rover for daily use and the rex .. errrr .. sits in the front garden looking pretty :D
