So the guy rebulit your engine and let you collect when he has not finished putting everything back, you should have left it with him until it was all finished, of course its not going to run right with the rats nest disconnected.
I would wait until your rebuild guys comes back and return the car to him so he can finish the job.

Im sure you can tax a car without the MOT.  Just tax it off the V5 via the internet.  As long as you are insured i dont think there will be a problem.  I did this a couple of years ago when my tax ran out when the car was a Pips.  He then MOT\'d it before I collected it :)

only worry if your guy does not want to come back to England dude.
Try and find a mate with a driveway see if he will let you park the car there until your rebuild man comes back

If you are worried and want to get it sorted now, try getting in touch with any of the lads from Powergains Motorsport, they are in Romford, so prob. at most a trip round the m25 for you. Someone on here will be able to give you their number.

Woooh.....not any more. The MOT is linked to Swansea by computer now. No valid MOT, no Tax
You\'re thinking of running a car without tax? You can do this, but only to an MOT station and only if you have a pre-booked appointment.

nice one thanks guys, was getting abit worried as it was over heating, ive just tried starting it and it wont start could that be down to me trying to start it a few times before and its now flooded.

it was overheating as well then it defo sounds like it has air traped in the system since the rebuild, when putting a new engine it takes time to bleed the air out, really they guy who rebuilt this should have done this at a minimum.
Also the stuttering could be caused by the MAP sensor not being reconnected to its vacuum line to the plenum, this has probably caused your engine to flood as well

should i take a couple of the spark plugs out n clean them to start it or jus leave it as it is

leave it as it is and wait for your rebuild man, you will clean those plugs only to foul again not worth the effort, as it seems a number of things have not been connected back causing your car not to run correctly
