Title: Tein super streets and polybush replacement
Post by: Hi RX7 on August 23, 2008, 12:29:19 PM
Just picked up my car from Re-Worx after having the above work done and what a difference, despite the fact I am having to go a bit carefull at the moment because the engine went poof on the way down to having this work done. As soon as you jump in the car the feel of the steering is more precise and the ride is just so much more comfortable.
I suppose its a bit like the old hi-fi scenario were you never knew how bad the stylus was worn until you bought a new one.
I am sure the Polybush replacement to the front and back does tighten everything up but the combination of this and new Tein coilovers really has transformed the car. Can\'t wait till its run in.

Did they replace all the bushes with poly stuff? The ball joint bushes should be left standard. All other bushes that are just steel sleeve and rubber outer can be replaced as they do not pivot. Best to just replace all the ball joint units with factory new ones.

I have Tein Flex & eruthan bushes. They work well.

It was just the standard polybush replacement kit front and back and two Mazda toelink bushes

About £1500 in total it will be tracked by WIM as soon as run in.

Worth mentioning that the high total amount includes shocks.....the poly bushing is much less and is worth every penny. I also had mine done by Re:Worx (who know which ones to change and which ones to leave standard) and the difference to the way the car drives and feels, and the steering feel through the wheel, is nothing short of stunning.

Highly recommended.

Yes and remember the Mazda toelink bushes are £50 plus each as well, the whole set up with new Teins and the polybushes was worth every penny because the tranformation is just so noticeably better a completely different car to the one I drove down.

Not too sure because the car was down there for the engine re-build but I recall that it would have been down there for the day.
