Nice wheels matey, she looks quite low already! mine is 5 inches to the bottom of the lip at the front, just right for clearing speed humps! have you got a pic of the front bumper please, i\'m interested to see what those vent holes are like, and wether they go though the Impact plate (or whatever it \'s called)
cheers Bob

Post by: ENVYD on August 20, 2008, 07:49:15 PM
yeah the front will not be going much lower, its just the back thats high!

as for them holes, they where in the bumper when i got the car and they are in front of the bumper support/impact plate thing so there is no real point in them! can still get a pick if you wish!

Thanks mate, no need for a pic then, but could you tell me how wide the gap is roughly, 10 mill-ish? would you say, i thought there was no gap at all, and would like to know for a bit extra cool air flow, cheers Bob

Loving those wheels, dude. Gotta be dark wheels on a red car, I thinks. Not that I\'m biased lol, just cos that\'s what I\'ve got. Look a bit fat, or maybe even phat, for too much drop there. It\'d be infuriating for you to get the car looking so good and then do that crimping the top of the front arch bit when the wheels are turned!

How many times have you scraped your number plate off, btw!? :eek:You obviously haven\'t got killer road bumps up the Toon like we have down south, then :Giggle!

Post by: ENVYD on August 20, 2008, 08:23:55 PM
yeah i know mate they are very wide spesh with a ET12 offset! but they do not rub so thats a good thing. also i will be gettin wide wings/overfenders when i get my kit sorted!

dont think the car will be staying red tho :P

Stop, that, now :Nono!. It\'s not big an it\'s not clever, yellow is a great colour, admittedly, in the right place.....

.....like on a canary, for example.:D.

Or maybe custard?:Giggle

Wheels look spot on steven gives your car a much meaner looking stance, I really like!!!.

Like yours, my wheels stick out a little and i dont have any arch trouble on coilovers although admittedly i dont have mine wound down that low but it gives a really good ride.

Looking the tits mate

nice rims.. hate to be a kill joy but noticed in one of ur pics.. the one u took from above the ur tyres stick out a bit from the wheel arch.
if the police are really arsey they can pull u over as the wheels / tyres can not stick out from the arches. tho urs is nt massively obvious.

maybe this would be a gd reason to make ur rx a widearch beast lol

Good call my man - more pics from the side at the rear please!

I plan on beating your offset soon, but I\'m stoked to see they fit :)

What he has is perfectly legal :) Wheels can stick as far out as they want, as long as the tread isn\'t visable from the top (i.e is covered by the arch, which it is)

Nice to see some agressive fitments. :Thumbsup!

I\'ll try, but the best available to me is an et8 :(
Nothing a spcer won\'t solve.
Negatives on stock body = man fitment.

Problem is they\'re only 8j\'s, so slightly less prominent than EnvyD\'s :(

Here we go, contentious post... :D

Tramlining rumours about low offsets are predominantly spread by fitment haters who run 9j et45\'s allround because it\'s easy, and that\'s what everyone told them to do..

It\'s predominantly geometry and tyre width that cause tramlining ime. Although i speak for predominantly road use :)

Why spoil good wheels by hiding them in the arch. Have you got a lowrider? nope.
Never had any problems, neither have any of the people i know running man fitment wheels.
As as for the rubbing that people often comment on - yeah, if you run et5 9j\'s on stock arches with 265\'s, you\'ll probably get rubbing. A small amount of arch work and careful tyre selection and it\'s often solveable. Although it depends on just how badical your wheels are.
