Right - I\'ve got a spoiler on the back of the RX, and I don\'t know what it is...
So, here\'s a couple of pics of it - can anyone identify it?
Pic 1 - full sweep from rear quarter to rear quarter:

Pic 2 - boot open, to show inner wing edge:

Pic 3 - showing how the spoiler lines up with the boot/rear light section:

On the third pic, you can also just see that the driver side rear-quarter piece has a nicely molded hole for the ariel to pop up through. Overall quality appears to be very good, and all pieces line up well. It looks like it might use the standard wing mounting points, but I\'ve not had the inner boot cladding off to check yet. Likewise, I have no idea how the outer pieces are bolted to the rear quarters...
Anyway - I\'d like to know partly just to satisfy my own curiosity for now, but also because I will probably be selling it in a few months, and it would be good to know what it is I am actually selling! :Hammer;)
So - any thoughts?
I Dont Know!!!!!!
Is there anything moulded into the underside of the wing in the middle?
Nearest I can find is a Try Force Aero one, but that doesn\'t have the hole where the aerial goes through. The old Jaguar XJS race kit used to have a similar design, but the overhang was all part of the one-part spoiler blade. So...if you opened the boot with the aerial up, it snapped the aerial in half! I guess that\'s the difference between Hiroshima and Coventry engineering practices in a nutshell, one comes up with solutions, the other think "that\'ll do, let\'s have a cuppa tea"

Nothing, other than the middle supports (which are visible in the pics).
Nik - do you have a link to piccies of the Try Force Aero wing? As i haven\'t seen it without the paint, i\'m only guessing that it came with the arial hole - it\'s possible that it was added as part of the fitting (although if so, the body shop did a darn good job!)
No link, dude, sorry, but on closer inspection and looking at your photos again, it\'s clearly not the same anyway. It\'s not got the square uprights in the middle and flat blade like yours, more like a standard early model Fd one that\'s been extended onto the fenders. Pic as best I can scan;

God, I can be thick sometimes! Talk about missing the bleeding obvious. I knew I\'d seen one somewhere before, too. Knightsports, it would appear! I thangyoup!

Dats da bunny :D
Cheers Nik - much appreciated! :god
wonder what it\'s worth second hand.... :guinness
I didn´t knew it... just that its freaking ugly to me ^^....
Now we know.
KS is really making some high high quality products And they are one of the top rotary specialists on the planet.
But their designer seems to be nuts!:Hammer
But you defenitely have a rare spoiler!! :chat
I believe Erebuni do (or did) a copy of this spoiler.
I think that\'s a well old design, I found the photos in the first RX-7 Hyper Rev book, which was published in like 1995, so I wouldn\'t be surprised if it\'s one of Knight Sports first styling/aero products for the FD......actually, perhaps less of the styling....
:Giggle Just kidding, I actually quite like it, it\'s certainly different. I only remembered seeing it before because of the aforementioned flaw with the XJ-S version jogging my memory, I would imagine it\'s well rare now. Makes a change from Big Gay Wings, though, dunnit!
