Wow... really nice car.

Put a diffusor on and you have a real beauty!
+ welcome to the club!

Post by: ENVYD on August 15, 2008, 10:27:11 AM
i would not go for the Vanquish rear mate! its very looow grade to the rest of the it you have!

you should just get a RE-A diffuser or so..

and the front is like this...

Alreet Jonny! Lovely motor that like. I have to say it really is a great example, Id say keep the wheels and colour them gold or a brown bronze, always a great match on a black car bud. You had any sideways action yet? lol.
Was happy to help out bud, and what a garage Jurgen has, that 750BHP supra was stunning.

Post by: jonny116 on August 15, 2008, 11:00:44 AM
Yeah! Recon rear diffuser rather than rear bumper?  Anyone got any links to any?

Any pics of black car with gold wheels?  I quiet like the wheels on, just cant decide if they look like steeleys when they in all black haha, plus i thought these cars should have 18\'s and not 17\'s... undecided on what to do coz i know i can sell them for around £800 being forged etc... if i wanted to??

Looking good bud!

Dont suppose youve had this car west of Newcastle in the Prudhoe area before have you?  A lad I know mentioned one had been drifting around a roundabout on our industiral estate.  Good skills!  All he said was it was black, and I didnt know of a black \'7ina area ;)

Chris

haha mate if i knew how to drift without crashing maybe, but no not been up that end with it yet!!!

Saying that i had a right twitchy back end around TESTO\'s roundabout i the rain lastnight, was an accident like but could have pushed it out if i knew what i was doin!

For the best handling etc i recon 17\'s are best bud, this car is all about grip and acceleration and 18 would spoil it IMO. Shame you did not get it earlier as you\'ve missed out on a group buy from the states, we got loads of rear diffusers etc, even had 1 spare but that just got snapped up today. I\'ve got my diff fitted so if you want a look let me know bud.
You stopped grinning like an idiot when you floor it yet?
Title: New member sayin hi!
Post by: jonny116 on August 15, 2008, 01:05:44 PM
ha ha yeah the petrol gauge sharp stopped me grinning like an idiot!!  Â£60 this week!!  will calm down after weekend.

ahh shame on the diffusers, would have had one!!

fantastic looking car there you have with RE kit.  I will keep the wheels and spray them in gold...they are one of the best and go well with that kit.  :yes
Title: New member sayin hi!
Post by: jonny116 on August 15, 2008, 02:20:10 PM
Yeah agreed on wheel spray, calling round for prices now!! £200 for full wheel spray   might just get the facia and front rim done gold and keep the back in black... ?
Title: New member sayin hi!

Post by: Bobbit on August 15, 2008, 04:05:42 PM
£200, jesus, you only need to sand them down and spray them bud, did you ask for a full refurb? Give me £50 and i\'ll do them for you lol.
Did Jurgen get the paint sorted on the spolier bud?
Also he mentioned that the sparks were £100 for a set when we were there, thats a bit steep TBH, you can get a full set for £40 ish and they are easy to fit.
Title: New member sayin hi!
Post by: jonny116 on August 15, 2008, 04:21:42 PM
ha ha mate, £50 is yours if you know what your doing.  Is was a re-furb shop i called, SEN in sunderland, and he said the black powder coating would need to be blasted off the re-powder coated in bronze.

No one know anywhere up here that will just sand and re-spray them?

Yeah spolier was sorted, not sure about the sparks.  Poppin in tommorow about that squeek on the adjustables so will ask.

Looks superb mate, I like the white wheels also !!!

£60 this week...pah I\'m on £89 lol !!! But we didnt buy them to worry about fuel !!!

Good buy you have there.

Real nice looking car. I agree with gold or bronze on the wheels. White stands out too much, black they get lost. Maybe anthracite (bit biased there, nothing to do with mine being anthracite lol!). Noooooo to that RE Amemiya diffuser, always looks like a real bad afterthought, just my 2ps worth. Leaves big gaps up the back, like the gusset\'s hanging out of yer Calvins. not a good look!
Title: New member sayin hi!
Post by: jonny116 on August 15, 2008, 04:55:49 PM
too much to consider ha.  Well for the advice iv\'e got the wheels booked in for a subaru gold facelift next week for the wheel facia\'s, all behinds getting kept black.

good choice!?  ill post pics incase anyone else considering.

Yeah im not convinced with rear diffusers, would need to see one on,

Is there nowhere that just does a lip to add onto the bumper?? but so it looks like part of it, not like an astra that reversed into halfords.

p.s. cancelled the wheel spray, took some proper photo\'s and fell in love with the black wheels... and thought i might look like an 80\'s TransAM, what ya recon:
