Title: Hesitation under load
Post by: edgasket on August 08, 2008, 10:30:08 AM
hi all, quick question...

When the car\'s under load and on boost, there\'s something that feels like hesitation and the knock level on the PFC goes up to 130 (it\'s normally around 20), it\'s only happened a couple of times - as in, since it happened the second time, i haven\'t been on boost... I don\'t think it happens when there\'s smaller load, like driving down a hill, or if it\'s eased out, but not sure.

Any one got any suggestions or ideas on what I should check?

PS, car has PFC that was mapped in Jan 2007, I\'ve had no problems with it up till about a month ago when this started happening. Also has decat \\ blitz back section, HKS intake, air pump removed, intake elbow, fmic.

Thanks! :Thumbsup!

have you checked your plugs recently?

When was the last time they were changed?

Always better to start with the smaller/cheaper things first :)

the plugs were done during a service in Jan so they\'re 8 months old, with about 3 or 4k Kms on them... I\'ll change them anyway, have been threatening to do that for a few weeks :)

if that doesnt help check all you hoses for cracks or splits, check you intercooler pipes as well, they tend to split (mine did).

In fact check all the hoses/pipes anyways, before the plugs..as its free haha.

it could be a failing fuel pump or reg

It\'s gone out of it since I changed the plugs and leads... I\'ll do the pump this weekend anyway, just to keep Andy happy :)
