Just phoned for a quote when i told them the engine was modified they said they would no longer insure, have been with them for 3 years but the car has been off the road for the last year W*****s.

I pay ~650 for a very modified car, 8k value, 5k miles. anything in the 500 region isn\'t too bad imo.

Im 30 in couple days time and have never claimed (*touches mountain of wood*). 11 years NCB.
So, all in all youve got an OK quote :)

Oh man you guys make me sick, I pay £850 all mods declaired same make replacements, 3000 miles limited 13 years no claims, 12,500 value, garaged etc. but did scrap a 04 elise last year.

Try Admiral as well, Im with admiral and they seem to be good with mods and stuff, I know on my last car that was modified sky quoted me £1440, Adrien flux didn\'t quote me at all cause it was over £2000 and Admiral quoted me less then £800 fully declared...
Try Greenlight, got good quotes but won\'t insure me as my V5 says its a 2616cc engine and they only cover imports with a 2354cc :flamed
I just renewed my insurance with AON with all mods declared for £496. I\'d ring them again and ask why they are still covering modded cars but wont do yours.
might be his age ? Funny bunch those Insurers when it comes to age, mileage and mods.
I only pay £250 for my TII Cab and paid about £400 for my FD but then I do have full no claims and maybe 10 years older than the average member on here. (maybe a little more) Wonder what the average age is for all our members ? any one want to go through the declared ages in their profiles? No me neither!!!
small update -sorry if its dup information but when We call AON for the usual
classic car insurance, reply is "transferring you to that dept..." then you
are transferred to Footman...{nice name for a car ins Co..}

dont moan about £500 odd quid im paying over £1500 and engine needs rebuilding so i had to buy & insure another car as well!
