Title: y pipe coupler
Post by: neil_jdmr on August 04, 2008, 06:31:50 PM
What a pig to get off. Im 5 mins away from slicing the thing in two:mad:

Ive noticed a slight bit of oil coming from it and running onto the the y pipe so i figure if oil is getting out there is a fair chance air is also escaping, which could be why my boost is dropping off.

any tips to getting the bitch off, ive pulled and pulled and although it will spin it will not come off AARRRGGHHH

Y-Pipe "coupler"?

Am I correct you are trying to remove the Y-Pipe?

If so, theres a bit of a nack...

Once you have removed the 4 nuts holding it on (2 nuts both sides)...

Grab both sides and pull upwards (whilst wiggling them a bit).

Hope that helps.

Get yourself a new coupler and slice it off bud, It\'s 70mm i think, not 100% sure so i would double check the size but halfrauds sell the correct size.
