Hi all.
I have one of these ( well certainly the little REA button ) and just wondered if anyone else had one / could tell me anything concrete about them.... rather than me just doing the copy, paste and translate etc from the site...
I haven\'t touched it yet and WILL not either until I know what it really does.
I can see where the wire leads towards the ECU.... and like I say above just wondered what sort of boost changes it\'d do??!!
Many thanks....

PS: I notice my car at present drives fine... reasonable boost with the first tub...... but seems like it just doesn\'t build enough boost / pressure to flip the second tub on...... I know this is more likely to be down to hoses, vac lines etc..... just interested / wanted to learn a little more with ref to this....

Anyone?? other info / advice other than what it says in the post from the link?
Cheers Phil.
Pretty sure the Re-dom ECU was available for cars in several stages of tune. You really need to know which one you have.
As youve said the switch operates a high or low boost setting. Think you can find more info on this via the web or even on here as ive heard which levels, just cant remember!
Its a shame it\'ll be desinged to run on jap RON fuel. It may be safe just to junk it and buy the Power FC fella (sorry). Failing that get it checked on a rolling road for air/fuel etc. A boost gauge would give you the boost level too (I would have thought).
Second turbo will probs be vacuum pipe or solenoid kaput. Godd luck with this!

Thanks for the reply Chris..... tis appreciated #;o)
I must investigate more.....

further more - I do have a boost guage and I see max 0.35 / 0.4 kg cm2 from the first tub and that\'s about it all the way to 6k rpm ish - equalling any of the following.....
0.35 kg_per_cm2 =>
34324 Pa
0.34 bar
0.34 atmosphere
257 mmHg
3500 mmH2O
3.5 mH2O
0.35 kg_per_cm2
717 psf
4.98 psi
10.1 inHg
138 inH2O
11.5 ftH2O
Looks like I\'ll be looking into Sickboy\'s \'boost issues\' thread some!! #;o(
I\'ll be having look at the ECU later / tomorrow to see if I can find out a bit more about what I\'ve got!
Might be worth opening up the ECU and making a note of the numbers on the chip - chances are one of these will be the RE:A Part number, so they should have a record of what its supposed to do/change.
Now that sounds like a plan - cheers Brett ;)

Right, OK - this is starting to get intersting.... from a little research ( web ) and have been out and taken some piccies ( uploading shortly ).... it sounds and looks like this:
http://www.rhdjapan.com/jdm-low/RE-Amemiya-REDOM-Type-A-Boost-Up-Computer-18835#
however - being a 95 car, you\'d expect an 8 bit ECU..... however, after looking at the piccies of the ECu\'s on the Re-A site.... they sold and ECU along with the \'Boost Up\' button... and it seems to enter the ECU at a differnet place, depending on if its 8 BIT or 16 BIT..... I guess I won\'t know for sure until I get right into it and remove from it\'s houdin in the car, so I can get a better look.....
The plot thickins.... quite intersting though and quite exciting too......
One quick question tho - it its mapped for Jap fuel ( which it prob is ).... and the car is not booting correctly ... could that be due to the UK fuel..... so it won\'t allow you to boost too high??!!
Food for thought for now - will get back in the car on the morro and see what else I can find out / see!!
Ok - here\'s a piccy for now.....
now I know you can see \'Redom\' and \'A Type\' and of course N3A7..... but there\'s a C shown there too...... and from what I\'ve found and seen on other info / pics ..... I\'ve only seen an \'A\' or a \'B\' on others????!!
Interesting eh??! #;o)
