...Is finally coming together nicely, She has a nice shiny new (used) splitter, a new set of 6 inch speakers courtesy of FLI (yep i never heard of em either) they are very good though....My test was highly scientific (80+ mph with the windows and sunroof open and Sweet child of mine blaring out), I need to get the ones for the front of the cabin now...
Also she looks pretty shiny too im just waiting for my header kit :Giggle
I normally use Coma as my test song. Still SCOM should do the trick. Glad the car is coming along well. Are you gonna be at Rotorstock?
loving the taste of music - my testing music is usually Duality by Slipknot or some songs off Metallica S&M album
Yep we will both be at Rotorstock i missed last year because i didn\'t have Rotary and i didn\'t want to depress myself. However im hoping to have some new tyres and a respray by the time the shoe comes up.
Duality is a TUNE!! i lost my album though :-(
Oh yeah and i need to sort out a fuel problem...Possible leaky injector. £50 in two days only to get 60 miles out of the tank tells me something is wrong.
I dunno, it depends how heavy footed you are. At one point earlier in the year I was getting 80 miles to £50 of fuel. Having said that I have been having fueling issues also.
Also PropellerHeads On her Majestys secret service is another good tune to test those speakers. (If you like their style of music)

Good man, Battery on the S&M is AAAWSOME!
Yeah i know what you mean but when i put £30 in it i made sure she didn\'t go above 65 on the m/way. Either way should be sorted soon or im goin to fit a tow bar and a tanker.
Propellorheads? i don\'t think i\'ve heard of them i think i\'ll look them up tonight.
It\'s kinda like the music from the first Matrix film. No guitars but its good stuff. And thats coming from a Rock/Metal fan.
Sounds good i trust the opinion of Rock/Metal fans being one myself :-)
Harvester of Sorrow is normally good for testing ;)
wow what header are you getting?
also when do you want to go out for a spirited drive?
im getting bored playing with straight line cars

Juno Reactor did a lot of stuff in the Matrix IIRC. Rage Against The Machine for the final song where he flies off into the skies
i do like RATM - a very good band
although i have just started to listen to "drowning pool" first album "Sinner" and its very very very good
Yeah! RATM prove that Americans can "do" punk after all! "Killing in the Name of...", just about the angriest song ever recorded! except maybe Conflict\'s "The Ungovernable Force" of course...
I\'ve just started to listen to these guys. Dunno if you\'ve heard of them they are called Black tide.

i\'m usually into hardcore, DnB or grime nowa days. But still love the old rock stuff, Rage are gods my freinds, as is Corey Taylor and the rest of slipknot. Anyone still care for the old scool Killswitch songs? My Last Seranade? Life to Lifeless ? And no conversation about rock would be complete without someone mentioning Chimaira surley ??? I used to be into the softer stuff to, dunno if people like Silverstein or From Autumn To Ashes ??
But on a serious note, i do prefer to drive with a bit of Hardcore on, some Bonkers perhaps ? Scott Brown anyone ? Hixxy ? Or do we just like rock ? Either is fine of course!
:Giggle
hmmmmmm, perhaps I need to listen to more music, I may be an old git compared to some of you lot but have not heard half of that lot mentioned. Think having four kids tends to tame my old days of rock and have been converted to pop. still nice to get the old Cd\'s out.
Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Motley Crew are all good bands for the driving of an RX. In fact they should be compulsory! I\'m gonna start a new thread about fave driving songs.
oh if were going hard core....
"as i lay dying" brilliant band, listen to 94 hours :D reminds me of when i was 15
though now ive moved onto "say anything" and the new alkaline trio album
Oh thats excellent guys who share my love of music and cars :-)
Im actually starting to warm to different kinds of music mainly Chilled, Dnb and other stuff...Only because im borrowing a friends car for the next few weeks and she\'s left all her CD\'s in the car.
dthebuk,
anytime after the 15th of August mate. thats when the header kit, strut brace new tyres and something else will be fitted....
Oh went round to see the my mate and my car yesterday to discover she\'s now sporting a fetching pair of body colour wishbones with poly bushes. She handles a lot sharper than before.
ah, i may need to be spending some money in that case.
im pretty sure my tyres are illegal and the suspensions on the way out.
is the strut brace just at the front? im quite eager to see how yours handles
Ha yeah you might want to get yours running nicely.
Apparently my ones been doing about 21mpg at the moment which im liking. I get to test her tonight after having her Header kit fitted brilliant. Oh the kit by the way is custom made.
The strut brace is just for the front because i want to keep the rear speakers. The brace is only £30 off of ebay so you must get one!! :-)
Oh and James if ya like mate when we go out i\'ll let you take her for a spin. Though not literally i hope.
30 off ebay!!?!?! im on it!!
hmm maybe wait till its dry, i get scared to push mine at all in the wet after a slight incident with a drain cover
also like to see what the power difference is like, mine was low on compression you see.
Ha yeah tell me about it!! Everytime i hit a drain cover in Slough the dam car slides all over the place!!
I haave to get new tyres first so no hurry there.
ah i went round a corner in the wet thinking, ill get the back out a bit....didnt see the drain cover, the thing flew out and it rally couldnt explain why. managed to control the fish tailing tho. deffo a brown trouser moment.
well if its dry tires shouldn\'t be a problem, will be like using slicks
Those moments are the best...hey remind you that your alive! i could do with one of those moments now...slipping into the monotony of WORK, HOME, EAT, SLEEP - and repeat! :-(
Anyone know how much a good EGI is worth these days?
800-1500 Depending on rust and a respray etc
Hmm interesting - Although she\'s looking good at the minute! so i don\'t think i\'ll sell her just yet.
I took her out for a quick run on Saturday down to Blockbuster near the MARS factory (hmmm) and wow it really put a smile on my face :-)
I also come across an RX8 that had a Ferrari badge in place of a Mazda badge...I really didn\'t know weather to laugh or cry. Each to their own i suppose.
I\'ve seen pic\'s of that RX8. What a knob.
Yeah similar words were running through my head but i wasn\'t sure if the guy was on the club.
Got a few new pics of the EGI...ignore the datestamp the camera went mad on me. Thy\'re the darkish pics
http://s296.photobucket.com/albums/mm193/dougrx7/?special_track=nav_tab_my_albums
is that fd from around bucks?
loving the egi, the wheels look good. You thinking of getting the s5 lights?
hows the car coming on? no major problems i hope
Yeah the FD used to belong to a friend but he sold it to a friend of his. You may well of seen it Slough a few times.
Not sure about the S5 lights just yet.
Cars running great at the moment...We think the fuel issue was caused by the spark plugs that were caked in cr*p. These have been swapped for a set of FD plugs. Its got new Magnecor leads and a genuine Mazda Speed Panel filter that will be going in today.
Oh and the Tyre issue has been resolved by those wheels as they came with some good tyres on them all ready. :-) all in all ready to enjoy this weekend lol
