You might want to do a search on the MRC and see the thread/threads written about Replikit.

Nothing is conclusive. They are a seller on the site. And the only thing ive seen is a skylineownersclub link which showed a misfitting wing.

I think you\'ll find it\'s a 50/50 split mate.  Spme people have had really good fitting kits off them some have had awful fitting kits off them.  I have no person experience of them so cant really comment.

Try driftworks for some opinions as lots of them use their kits on there.

but just go by the name   replikit.
ie we steel other peoples desingns theyve spent £,000s making and chuck out copys for half the price so the people that actully design stuff go out of business and everyones left with cheap crap and nothing new cause all the copy people can do is copy not actuly make anything,

buy original or buy twice.

thats all very well and good but i want a mazdaspeed bumper. It costs £1300 from japan why......

Because its got to be made and painted, Shipped to the seller in japan, shipped from japan to england seller +customs, shipping from england seller to me, shipping and two middle men to pay.

or i can buy a replikit one £199 + that again to get it fitted and painted.

Ok so its not poly and its FG but its a **** load cheaper i could buy four let alone buying twice

I\'m on a few forums of popular marques and the only times I see repli**** - sorry.. replikit mentioned in a good light is from the people sponsored by them. skylineowners, driftworks, sxoc - all have their own horror stories.

and the chances are it won\'t fit straight out of the box.. not many replica\'s do, hell, you could pay for a \'branded\' item like chargespeed and still have fitment issues.

It could cost you £300 in labour just to alter it enough to fit. + £200 bumper + £100 painting, you\'re already at £600 for a knock off bit of kit.

As with most of these companies you get what you pay for I\'m afraid.

i dont mind people copying mazda etc but just the styling companies,
but will openly admit i too can be tempted, but if i buy a copy and tell someone not to that evens it out. . . right??

From what I can gather Shine in the US produce good quality replica kits and the Scoot bonnet I got from Gary (rotaryart) is superb.

Dont think I would trust anyone else, there are loads in the jap mags advertising cheap bodykits but without going to look and test fitting I dont think I\'d be tempted.

We all try and save money (hence why I bought Garys scoot bonnet rather than a real one at £2k !!) on our cars, buying from the main tuners is expensive enough without the customs/vat etc etc on top but I think when it is that cheap it is for a reason. If you are prepared to put the work in to get it to fit then go for it,  otherwise spend a little bit more and get something better.

I\'ve just bought my front bumper from replikit, here it is fitted: (http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w178/xStarredFairyx/STA60963-1.jpg)

It was not the best fit at first tbh (see previous thread from myself on here somewhere), but after some hours labour - thankfully not paid for by me - at the bodyshop, it came out like this and I\'m really pleased with it.  If you can wait for an original to be delivered, then do that! \'Cause you\'d spend nearly the same amount of money on a replica getting it to fit. I simply couldn\'t wait however long for a genuine mazda one, or a genuine aftermarket one from overseas as my car was off the road.

Does that help?
