Title: Problem
Post by: davyv on July 26, 2008, 08:36:13 PM
Went to pick up my take away which is in the next village about 4 miles away. On the way back the car started to splutter then just stopped. When you turn it over it feels like its going to kick in then nothing.
The car has only done about 400 miles on a rebuild, i hope im not being paranoid but it feels like it did when the last engine lost a tip. Any ideas, thanks.

If you are running in, the engine builder may have put restrictions on boost, rpm and made it run rich for running in period.
It maybe that the 4 mile run was not enough to warm her up properly and you have fouled the plugs.

youll be best off talking to the builder

Good luck. Ill keep my fingers crossed

sounds like a word of advise form your tuner.
He will either say yes sorry rebuild or sorted mate you owe me for a new coil or something.

I went to it this morning and it started first time and drove normally.I am going to change the plugs to start with but it makes you not want to use it in case it goes again.
