The date for our this years only club London Run will be Saturday 30th August...

The details are here;
Meeting points;

1st Redbridge (East London A12)

2nd Ace Cafe (North London A406)

Route:

Our first meeting point will be at Redbridge, about 7pm(same starting point as last run) many people know how to get there. you can join us all if you like at this point. Deprting time 8.00pm sharp.

We will then take a straight drive down on A406(nice open roads and 5 tunnels to blast through) to Ace Cafe; (Our second meeting point; 9.00pm). The food is served at Ace and the parking should not be a problem. This is for those who can\'t join us from Redbridge but will be good for those comming down from more North and west.

Departing Ace at round 10.00pm sharp. back onto A406 and take A40 from hanger lane round about going straight into London.

We will avoid Regent street, oxford street, leciester square and trafalgur square traffic and stay towards Hyde park, Victoria or park lane side of the town. We will then take a drive by parliment square, embankment and through our favourite part; the lime house tunnel and blackwall tunnel with our finishing point at the Dome.

Anyone from MRC and FDUK is welcome. Others are welcome too but please please as i said above its not a race event of any kind so please behave on public roads and lets all have fun.

Damn! Why couldn\'t you have stuck with the previous weekend? I don\'t finish work till one in the morning, you\'ll all have gone home by then. BTW, the link for the first meeting point comes up with "page not found" when I tried it

Just put in for the day off work, so fingers crossed. Didn\'t really want to work four in the afternoon till one in the morning anyway, alls I needed was an excuse to take the day off!

You should designate a few groups with one leader in each group who knows the route.
That way when getting stuck at traffic lights the groups stick together and follow the leader and can meet up with the rest of the convey further down.
Saves people getting lost and not knowing where to go.
Groups of 6 with a leader would be perfect as people are bound to get lost/stuck at traffic lights.
But in order for this to work people have to stick to their designated group.
Just a suggestion ...

Anyone interested in a bit of company going up to the Smoke from Sussex area? I can spot a couple of local-ish names on the list, might be nice to meet up on the way up, at least I\'d get to see some other cars before getting hopelessly lost trying to find the official meeting point :Giggle!

All I need is the GPS co-ords or at least the route from start to finish. If we do get lost/seperated/pulled over, then at least we know the next waypoint or road to be on.

yeah, redbridge underground, as you come down the M11/A406/A13 link road, follow signs to the A12, come off at that roundabout and take the first exit (if you\'re going southbound) the pub is right there, Ace Cafe is round the A406 Park Royal exit... good luck

By the way, I may be coming so please put my name down conditionally and the same with my brother in law in his FC3S, if he can fix the clutch in time

i\'ve nt investigated how long it takes to get to the meeting point but will be busy inhaywards heath til bout 5pm.
then maybe grab sth to munch b4 setting out.
i\'ll nt looked at the route from h\'heath so will prob jus follow the little voice comming out of me tomtom.

we may be doing a mini run this or next weekend. We dont have to go to A40 from hanger lane roundabout. we can cut through park royal and back on a40 near carphone .....:cool

Gonna have to pull out of this as i cant get out of work and i\'ve got problems with my car now. :(
Really gutted as i know how much fun these runs are. Was looking at some videos i did the othe day of the one where we all stopped at the Bluebird. Good times. :)

That\'s the Pease Pottage services, yeah? I\'ll be there for 5:30, then, dude. If anyone wants to go from down here (Worthing area) but their cars\' phut or whatever, they\'re welcome to a lift. I\'ll even give you the passenger seat rather than the Dwarf Buckets in the back! :Thumbs-up

The run is still on on Saturday:3gears-lh run from redbridge to Ace will be straight forward. We will have group meeting at Ace. Those with tomtom will have to come forward please so that we can form a group of 5 or 6 from there.:3gears-lh

After Ace our next stop will be outside Tate Gallery and from there its straight run by embankment to limehouse link tunnel and then through blackwall tunnel to the dome.:3gears-lh

cameras in most of the tunnels so only short bursts before you put the brakes on, I did get flashed last time in one of them but got away with it.

pease pottage sounds right.
i\'ll try be ontime but i will be having my bike course during the day and not too sure wot time it will finish. think 5.30 latest then takes me about 15 min to get from bikesmart to services.

oh.. from ace cafe are you thinking of goin A40 to euston then down a4200 towards holborn, aldwich and waterloo than along stamford st?

would like to know route by thurs afternoon as wont hav net after thurs onwards.. els ei guess can get route on the day from redbridge

No no we are not going to hit Euston nor Holborn as they the traffic hot spots at tha time of the night.

We will be on A40 from A406 at hanger lane round about and go straight down the A40 for about 5 miles. Its an exit after the Paddington turn off that we need to take. very very important that you DO NOT take Paddington exit its the one after.

After that its straight to hyde park corner, just top off Oxford street stay right and straight twards Victoria with hyde park on your right.

Its third exit towards Victoria station. stay in middle lane at lights and follow signs for victoria station...its straight forward from ther and about 2 mins drive to tate ( our meeting point) :driving

Blackwall Tunnel has some average speed camera lookalikes going northbound, they are NOT being used to check speed, they are only experimental, so no worries on the blackwall tunnel

Will be coming along with Dangerous to the Ace Cafe but unfortunately it will be in the Nissan as the Rex has a couple of issues at the moment. Really looking forward to this as it will also be my first visit to Ace Cafe and first tunnel run.

I will have to give my apologies but I will not be able to attend. Totally gutted but I have been stitched at work for a duty which unable to get out off. Been looking forward to this for so long as well. Drive safe, dont get flashed and really enjoy the experience, its the best thing you can ever do in a rex !!!! Theres always the tunnels and always another run.

woah what a night, got in at 4am :King ....looks like our RX7 London run turned into a Jap London run with loads and loads of other Jap cars joining in! I think we must have doubled our numbers by the time we got to the second stop! Looks like the word must have gone round :D

Was a really good night and lots of fun.... especially the drive from the Dome :Thumbs-up.
