The oil pressure senders are known to go faulty over time which will make the guage act funny

If it helps, mine does the same - jumps up to correct value (between 4-8kg/cm2) on start-up then drops to zero as the oil warms up. As soon as I go on boost though the oil starts getting pumped through the engine and turbos and all is well again!!

I wouldn;t worry about it too much!! You should be checking the oil level every week anyway!! :p

as Kash said it will be the sensor not the gauge. A lot of us put aftermarket gauges in to a oil sandwich plate so you get a true reading of pressure
