Title: Check Valves - Which type?
Post by: Locki on July 17, 2008, 09:16:43 PM
Hi Guys,

I\'m refurbing the rats nest as i have a few boost issues, and thought instead of using the old check valves and solenoids i would replace them along with the new hoses.

I read on a previous thread that you don\'t have to get check valves from mazda, they can be any type of check valve, is this true? if so, what do i need to look for when buying them? (i.e size, pressure etc..)

And as for the solenoids, I guess they are from mazda only (or spares from someone else) right? if so, does anyone have a complete set of working solenoids for sale? I\'m not really electrically minded, so i figure if i replace all solenoids with working ones i can\'t go wrong...right :3Confused

Cheers

Kris

well if you want to do it properly you can get uprated solenoids from the US, which come with viton check valves. I have just finished installing mine and they are a fantastic bit of kit. they are made to order though and take a while to come over.

Bob, email address is LLocki 2000 @ msn .com (there are 2 of the letter "L" at the beginning of the email address, not a spelling mistake :))
Thanks mate, appreciate it.

One other thing.. When i was disconnecting the check valves, one of them (the longer green one) released alot of pressure when i removed the hose from the inlet side, is that normal or does that show one of my check valves is faulty?
