Title: strange idle increase
Post by: pigeon on July 15, 2008, 07:44:38 PM
was out for a drive the other day and one of my i/c pipes blew off under boost. i quickly coasted to a stop and hooked it back up the headed home and all was well. only since then my idle has risen from 850rpm to 1150rpm and i carnt work out why. anyone had this before or got any ideas?

cheers Adam

i had a similar problem a while back, it turned out that the idle adjsut screw had come loose and was winding itself in! at one point i had an idle of 2000rpm!!!!!

If you\'re running enough boost to blow the intrcooler pipe off, chances are one of the vac hoses has blown off too (this will increase idle).  have a good poke around.

Yep check the vac hoses. I had a similar thing on my FC, I just couldn\'t get it to idle right. Turned out to be vac hose on the end.
