Title: Radio Wiring
Post by: johnf on July 11, 2008, 05:26:30 PM
Having now got a band expander, thanks to MRP, I ought to try and get trhe rear speakers working.

Looks more of a rats nest than the vaccuum pipes.

Also looks like someone has already messes it up.

If there are any ppl who know anything about radios please take a look at the attached pic.

I have a pair of unconnected wires coming in from either side circled red] and a single connectore from the radio with nothing attached [circled yellow]

There are three multi pin plugs into the back of the radio.

Any suggestions or will I have to get an expert in.

John

As said above, they look like speaker wires. One way to tell is get an AA sized battery and put each wire on each end of the bat. If you hear a pop/crackle, you know which speaker it is. It wont damage the speaker at all.

Sorted the rear speakers, someone had dosconnected them.

While taking it apart I found two pairs of jack plugs - any idea what these would have been used for?
