Title: Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Post by: colly on July 06, 2008, 06:49:06 PM
Over the past few week the car has been a bit jumpy at idle sometimes, I assumed the problem was just the plugs. But since yesterday im hearing a strange sound sometimes when the idle is jumpy.
The sound quality in the vid isn\'t great so it\'s probably not obvious but anyone got any ideas?

Could that possibly be a bearing on 1 of the ancillaeries wearing out? or perhaps the powersteering pump? I know my powersteering pumps wines a lot cause it has no fluid.

Actually it could be a lack of power steering fluid, it does need to be topped up, ill give that a shot, thanks.

Could try disconnecting the top hose that comes off the air pump and listening to it. You might find it\'s the air pump that\'s making that intermittant sound - seems suspiciously like the air pump \'moo\'.
